SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
 The Head of the Centre for Excellence in Education and Lifelong Learning is responsible for providing strategic leadership, academic innovation, and operational oversight to promote excellence in teaching, learning, and continuous professional development. The role focuses on enhancing educational quality, fostering lifelong learning initiatives, supporting faculty development, and aligning institutional practices with international standards and emerging educational trends.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  1. Provide strategic leadership and develop and execute a 3-year roadmap for the Centre in alignment with the institution’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  2. Lead faculty development initiatives, including professional training, pedagogical enhancement
  3. Collaborate with academic departments, quality assurance units, and external stakeholders to enhance learning outcomes and employability.
  4. Ensure all Centre activities meet CAA standards and international benchmarks for teaching excellence
  5. Develop or oversee the development of students’ internship; formulates or reviews training outlines and determines appropriate instructional methodologies and formats; evaluates and recommends incorporation of vendor programs, as appropriate to meet the faculties training goals and objectives.
  6. Provide guidance and leadership to FU students, in accordance with specified program objectives; participates in the sourcing, selection, and evaluation of internships as appropriate.
  7. Coordinate workflow and administrative activities necessary to deliver and document the center’s programs and activities.
  8. Provide input and assists in the planning, assessment, and implementation of organizational goals and objectives, in line with overall university goals and objectives.
  9. Manage the Centre’s budget, resources, staff, and performance evaluation processes.
  10. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
   SUPERVISION:
  • Report to: Vice Chancellor
  • Subordinates: Training Center Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Master degree with at least 5 years of work experience directly related to the tasks and duties specified. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Proven skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to determine internship and training objectives.
  • Knowledge of organization development principles and processes, methods, and techniques.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English language. Professional fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
  • Sound skills in facilitating and leading strategic planning and organizational development interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and preparation procedures.
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to professional staff and/or students in area of expertise.
·       Experience in managing large-scale educational projects or training programs.·       Ability to use data to track the effectiveness of training and internship success.
